Privacy Policy
1. Overview
This privacy policy describes what data the Markdown Notes app processes and how it is used. The app is built on a data-minimization principle: everything happens locally on the user's device.
2. Data we collect
The app does not collect, transmit or store any personal data. We do not use analytics, ad SDKs, trackers or third-party services. The app has no internet access and never opens network connections.
3. File access
For its core function — reading and writing notes — the app uses the Android Storage Access Framework (SAF). Access is granted only to the folder the user explicitly chooses. The app does not scan the file system outside that folder. Note files are stored only on the user's device.
4. App settings
Settings chosen by the user (theme, interface language, working folder path) are saved locally on the device using the standard SharedPreferences mechanism. This data never leaves the device.
5. Permissions
The app requests no permissions beyond those required for SAF. Internet, camera, microphone, location and contacts permissions are not used.
6. Children
The app is not directed at children and does not collect data from any category of users.
7. Policy changes
If this policy changes, an updated version will be published at this same address with a new effective date.
